Serene, smiling coyly
Leaning back against a door frame
Fashionably dressed wearing only pearls
That surely smile at your touch
Stroll with me the garden through
Putting blush to the flowers there
So they may smile too
This vision I have never seen
But in persistent caresses in my mind
Which bring me back day after day
No ordinary moments since I met you
Oh! how I love the energy of this place
It flows through our bodies swirling
It radiates and maginfies our touch
With emotion unbound by words
To spite my ineptitude and guilt
It appears I behaved badly
I wish I were those smiling pearls
Making love with you madly
The night creatures longing chorus
Serenades me
Far off thunder stirs the breeze
The duvet slipped to the floor
Out of reach and pearls are not enough
To keep me warm
From nights cold blooded leach and
Sadly pearls don't have lips or eyes
To lament the miles that now estrange us
The magic, singing Serengeti
An oasis out of time is
Only different circumstance
A different style of rhyme
Diminished not with standing
You shed your skin
And let it lay... curling
To create yourself anew
Courageous action done in a fearful world
And done by very few
I'm so proud to say
I've known you
Though now we don't speak
Even if it was me that chose it this way
My eyes cast to the floor
This vision of you
I will always keep
Serene and smiling coyly
