This is a copy of a e-mail sent to me from the new Leader of the the Republican Party in MN
Thanks Tony

Let me be very clear: I disagree with the Minnesota Supreme Court's decision in Sen. Coleman's appeal. The court's ruling wrongly disenfranchises thousands of Minnesotans. There were unacceptable disparities in the way Minnesotans' ballots were treated based upon the counties in which they reside. Democrats seized on these disparities and hunted for ballots so they could win the election through the courts. This is completely unacceptable and we will never let it happen again.
While we respect Senator Coleman's decision to not appeal, we believe that this ruling wrongly leaves thousands of Minnesotans silenced. In 2010, we must defeat the ACORN Secretary of State Mark Ritchie to ensure our state's elections are conducted in a fair and non-partisan manner.
Senator Al Franken* will always have an asterisk next to his name. However, we must resolve to fight the Democrats as they chip away at our liberties with higher taxes, unsustainable spending, and 21st century socialism.
Finally, I would like you to join me in thanking Norm Coleman. For 30 years he worked tirelessly as a public servant for the betterment of our state and of our country. Norm's dedication and leadership for our state makes us proud to be Minnesotans.
I am attaching the statements I released to the press today:
"Today's ruling wrongly disenfranchised thousands of Minnesotans who deserve to have their votes counted. Alongside Senator Coleman, the Republican Party of Minnesota has fought to make sure every vote counts and all voters are treated fairly and uniformly. As we move forward, our deeply flawed election system must be dramatically improved to ensure our state's elections are fair, accurate and reliable."
"Senator Coleman's gracious remarks following a long and hard fought campaign are to be commended. For over three decades, Norm Coleman has served Minnesotans with high distinction and honor as a prosecutor, mayor and United States senator. Norm's commitment to Minnesota will never waver. He is a good man who has fought the good fight."
Sincerely,
Tony Sutton
Chairman-Elect, Republican Party of Minnesota

"On Friday, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 2454, the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, by a vote of 33 to 25.
According to the bill's sponsors, it is "a comprehensive approach to America's energy policy that will create millions of new clean energy jobs, save consumers hundreds of billions of dollars in energy costs, enhance America's energy independence, and cut global warming pollution."
